Atıkdöngü is a marketplace that classifies fabric offcuts and defective pieces from garment factories by type, colour and weight and matches them with recyclers, filling material makers and new-design producers. Waste-producing companies turn a disposal cost into income.
Impact
28 manufacturers in Gaziantep, Bursa and Denizli list on the platform; in the first year 640 tonnes of textile waste were kept from landfill and returned to use.
At Çimlen
The team, in the Autumn 2025 Filiz cohort, started a traceability pilot with an EU brand during the programme: a digital passport is issued for each batch. The team aims to help exporting manufacturers comply with EU sustainability regulations.
Next step
The team aims to extend the marketplace to 100 manufacturers across Turkey and grow the buyer side with domestic brands that use recycled fabric. As a Çimlen alumnus it keeps access to community events and the mentor network.
